Tradional Marketing Vs Digital Marketing

 Our Planet earth had history of Business, it started during the ear of Kings & kingdom. It First started as a barter system, when there was no discovery of currency, thats why there was no urge of profit to be earned having very one simple life. But dynamics started when there was nothing to barter by some poor/ inefficient section of people. There was the invention of currency coins, to buy new needs of the crowd o in olden ear.

   The currency became predominant in olden era  and kings and warriors use to fight to maximize the currency and earn profit among provinces  they started marketing activity by way of loud, long wailing sound the beginning of marketing to fetch profit, lots of tricks came to maximise the product and enhance sale, by word of mouth and display ads on bamboo wax sticks and roll carpets. The era of marketing started to maximize profit, to enhance growth sales, to reap maximum turnover.

Latel, I started my career in govt organisation, handling whole advertising activity-Pan India as junior officer and convenor to committee headed by Executive director, Chief Managing Director, here the Govt of India facilitates/ subsidies to propagate advertising of  product / services  under DAVP rates(i.e:25% discount on any activity) of Print, Media- audio, video, OOH etc. Apart from Pvt Sector all Govt bodies / PSU can get rates at DAP rates. Earlier the Traditional marketing was limited upto Print Media based on publications and reach ( Newspaper, magazines, Business Directories/ magazines) etc, Electronic media( radio, TV, Mobile sms) etc. OOH- OUt of Home( Hoardings on major traffic roads, Long hoardings on Bridges / roads on Expressways eg Mumbai Pune Express way, Advts on  local trains, Buses etc. Scrollers / Liners on news channel. Display of Flex board on every branches/ shops, TV Commercial ads Pan india  based on regional crowd

Companies used method to maximise profit and do cost cutting by used of digital media.

Digital media has help business not only to reduce the operation cost of traditional advertising, but  to maximise the out reach of general population. Following things has benefited in Digital marketing:

  3. To penetrate the market very fast and reach the targeted customers  easily

  6. The outcome of advertisement can be measured and re worked to reach the goal of advertisement for generating growth / sales of products 

After the evolution of Internet, Digital gadgets like phones, tablets, computers, android version, apple phones. Embodiment  of support softwares viz interface of phones, browsers viz chrome, firefox, yandex, beside major search engines viz Google, youtube, major social media softwares viz Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, linkedin, Twitter has strategically amalgamated, intermingled, integrated with the technology to ease the outcome of Buiness houses, consultants, individuals.

Digital Marketing play a vital role in everyone’s life and has bettered than traditional ways of marketing by splurging of huge cost, un targetted general public and cut the cost on advertising as usually teh adverting budget was 4% to 10% of previous year profit of every organistaion.
